OLAS! #5: Subterranean Homesick Blues by Bob Dylan

I’m a humongous Bob Dylan fan, and I know that a lot of you out there probably aren’t. Which is understandable, he’s an acquired taste. But in my opinion he’s the greatest lyricist in modern music history, and one of the over all most talented songwriters in recent history.

This song is off of his 1965 album, Bringing It All Back Home. And to all of the Dylan hater dudes out there, listen to me, start liking Dylan. Because all of those cool, skinny-jean wearing, chain-smoking, swoopy-hair-having, pale-skinned musicians you love so much wouldn’t be singing the songs they’re singing if Dylan never existed. But that isn’t the point, he’s also a brilliant musician and this is a fantastic song. Warning: The lyrics are kind of dense, so check them out here to make sure you catch every beautiful word.

You can purchase the song here, and I suggest you do just that.
